Thank god Zack Snyder isn't making any Star Wars movies.

I've never considered him all that attractive, but the beard does wonders.

To be fair, I think that's WHY she was hired. People first heard about her on America's Got Talent where her schtick was doing a bunch of impersonations.

If Watchmen is THE worst movie you've seen in a theater, then you haven't seen many bad movies in theaters, I'm guessing.

I"m excited to read these good reviews. I loved reading the book, especially because it itches that yearning for adventure many of us feel, while at the same time critiquing the way we exoticize and dehumanize the people and the environments the adventures takes place in.

Well, I DEFINITELY think you're way cooler now, then!

You must be pretty young, then, because for a 10 years stretch into the mid-2000s, 3D platformers made up half of all game releases.

Just to be clear, Yooka-Laylee was NOT made by Rare, it was made by several ex-Rare employees at a brand new, very small studio working from a very small budget and without the assistance of a publisher…

I've read a bunch of reviews, and you could honestly replace the words "Yooka-Laylee" with "Banjo-Kazooie" and it'd read just like a review for the latter game from 20 years ago. Which tells me, this game is going to be hit or miss with players because the thing it's based on was hit or miss, too.

Well, DKC is still universally beloved. Banjo-Kazooie had its fair number of detractors even when it came out, and especially now. Yooka-Laylee doesn't have the foundation that DKC: Tropical Freeze had.

And I will assert TO MY DEATH that my subjective preference of chain pizza is the objective truth!

Hey, that's only a couple miles from my house!

Where exactly is the pin? I was curious and tried it out myself but since I live and work in Wichita, it just defaulted to my actual location.

I have never eaten a pizza from Domino's that I could finish. It's disgusting, I don't care HOW many times they have to change their pizza because everyone hates it.

Pizza Hut regularly sells medium pizzas for $8 apiece if you get two, and even their large pizzas are always at most $10. And you don't have to bake it yourself like Papa Murphy's. If you're REALLY okay with cheap pizza— both in quality and in price— you can't (read: can) go wrong with a $5 Hot 'n Ready from Little

Whaaaat, you're from Wichita, Jeff? It's where I've lived for the last 23 years. I got my degree from Wichita State, whose campus is now home to the original Pizza Hut. Granted it's a small, unassuming brick shack that you'd probably think is a maintenance shed if it wasn't clearly labeled, but it's cool all the same.

Oh, I completely agree, I'm a big lover of many Crichton novels. I could do without the ridiculous 80s Japanese fear, like Rising Sun, but the guy was a solid writer who could make a compelling story out of things that others couldn't. But yeah, State of Fear makes no sense and isn't exciting on any level, even if

I agree, and The Andromeda Strain and Sphere are both decidedly PRO-science, too, in my interpretation. For Jurassic Park specifically I felt like the major theme wasn't against science but against corporate driven science. I mean, the heroes ARE scientists, and the villains are businessmen!

How has NewsCorp and Fox not started development on Crichton's climate change denial novel, State of Fear?

Ugh, this rule change is going to gut one of the few categories that at least nominates the stellar independent work being done in the medium. If you liked seeing small-budget indie nominees like My Life as a Zucchini or Secret of Kells, too bad!
