I seem to remember there were a number of complaints about the handling in GTA4, that the cars were too hard to control. Something about Rockstar wanted it all to be a bit more realistic.

I'm a bit disappointed with the driving dynamics of the game. The cars handle too well, as if traction control steps in, or the character's skill corrects my intention. Try to do a burnout or doughnuts in a supercar, the tires catch back their grip way too soon. It's nearly impossible to drift through an intersection.
