Yeah I felt the writing was a bit unbalanced from what we've seen before—especially the obviously doucheyness of that particular line. I mean he does work at the same place as Hannah and she was just essentially going on about what a great move it was that she flashed their boss—I think he has every right to be a bit

Huh? (And grr)

No mention of Eli's story in the review—even in Stray Observations? I mean I'm not sure what to make of it myself (though the time frame seemed odd—would his celeb beau get SOOO tanked and show up at his place—I assume with the party still going on—while it's only just twilight back at the play?)

Dudley howling in acknowledgement of Brett when they were driving past him cuffed was a reference to last year when he was obsessed about Brett recording the perfect coyote (? wolf?) howls for that movie, right? Or am I crazy…

OK a long discussion/review and no mention that so much of Miller's work here really seems to have had its impetus in his Daredevil run? (Which, is pretty much his only major work that still—mostly—holds up for me).

Thank you—I was just thinking—this long and detailed discussion/review and no mention of how much of it really has its basis in Miller's Daredevil run? (Which I still find largely the best thing, or at least the one thing I still mostly really enjoy, that he's done.)

OK, I hate to have to do this… But did they call a babysitter to stay over all night? What about the children!

Well the cause and affect between Illana and Linc has been going on for 3 (?) episodes? This stuff with Trey has gone on for over a season. The show has clearly shown Abbi being attracted, and then repulsed that she is attracted, to Trey since then—increasingly so.

Yeah Trey reminds me of one or two friends I have had for a long time who, back in high school we used to sorta make fun of when he wasn't around, but he was always a part of our "group" anyway (God teenagers suck) but you eventually realize is genuinely a sweet guy who has no ulterior motives and would basically help

"I could see Abbi sleeping with Trey to satisfy her urges (I think she
did), she made out with the delivery guy in the rat episode as some
anti-Trey action."

This seems like a weird episode for the reviewer to come down on about how the show needs to deepen things up because, compared to some others this year that got stronger reviews, I thought they did (in a Broad City apropos way…)

Which I didn't see (I haven't seen?) I realized he was in Into the Woods and I thought he did a good (just good, though) job. And I guess everyone loved him on stage in 2 Guvners but I've only seen him on stage—as mentioned—and on film in History Boys…

Hey Darque ;) Sweeney doesn't really have recitative on stage though (unless we're defining it differently—I know it's a point people argue) and Sondheim didn't do the underscore… did he?

I loved him in The History Boys… Ummm… Yeah, otherwise, I'm drawing a blank (I'd totally watch that cast reunion on his show—then again I'm not sure any CBS viewers would care).

This film always feels underrated to me—but only because as a teenager who sorta thought he was at least aware of all the major classic movies, I only ever heard of it for a long time because I know Beatty asked his friend Stephen Sondheim to write the score. Sondheim didn't write the score but he did write the main

Right, plus—while perhaps it hasn't been as fleshed out as it should be, Eliot has always been shown to have genuine affection and attachment to Quentin when it comes down to it.

HA, well that makes more sense. All I could hear in my head was "The farmer in the dell" when he was whistling which seemed… very random.

Me too…

Kin-Dza-Dza!

I dunno, it seemed pretty apt for Marnie to say it…
