Did either of you watch Clone Wars? Before that I would have agreed with the two of you. Boba was just a guy in a cool suit. But after seeing Clone Wars there is at least a bit more to him. He is going from angry child, to emotionless bounty hunter, to possibly someone who is going to do some good in the galaxy.  It

Can we just enjoy the show? This piling on of criticism is ridiculous. Is the Book of Boba worse than the prequels or the sequels?  Hell, no. They can keep doing what their doing.

Perhaps you should have actually watched the film before judging the entire content and story solely based on runtime.

“I think one reason [the death of Superman] was so powerful was that after the ‘Funeral for a Friend’ story, there were no Superman comics for three months

Alfred Molina is a grad-a Actor and seeing him back to chew up some scenery is excellent.

He’ll allow it.

It's Stephen.

I’m just like, really shocked that Dr Strange is totally happy to agree to all this, apparently doesn’t even bother explaining what’ll happen to Peter, and then apparently blames Peter for Dr Strange’s own meddling (which Dr Strange or “Steven” as I guess we’re calling him) was warned about by his own colleague.

Dudes feel pressured to say ignorant dumb shit like “no homo” when doing innocuous things like making incidental physical contact with each other because articles like this are a dime a dozen.

I mean in my eye, expectations for turning a woman who wants to murder puppies for fashion into an anti-hero for a prequel were quite low. The only way to make this work would be to play into the inherent stupidity of the premise. Just treat her like a villain in Batman 66 and you could pull this off.

General Mills Monster Universe is already more successful than the Universal’s Dark Universe.

How is the conclusion not believable to the real world?

Exaggerated for effect: White middle class cis-gendered patriotic boys and men expecting a few hours of good action and fun buddy-comedy got exactly the amount of politics and gayness they could muster without getting a heart attack.

Good article. I’ve seen a handful of “no actually, the show was bad” takes floating around the net that are just blatantly attention seeking. But this did a good job at touching on some of the structural flaws without burning the whole thing to the ground.

The CGI backgrounds are horrendous nowadays, but on a CRT with scanlines it wasn’t really an issue.

It’s been a couple decades, now, I think we can all just admit it: for a certain version of Batman, Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin kind of rules.”

I must have seen that other version of Batman and Robin, ‘cause the one I watched absolutely sucked.

Sorry, but 94 Spider-Man was a victim of Marvel/Fox’s crappy micro managing of the time (see clone saga). I rewatched most of if after it hit Disney Plus and wow the flaws are insane.

The censorship for the fights really begin to show after season 1,

the designs (that apparently had strong interference from Toy Biz)
