The sad thing is that the 65 year old guy retiring from the foundry is himself a dying breed. Most of those fat pensions were phased out many years ago at this point, and the blue collar guy will be lucky to afford to retire at all without a Wallmart greeter job.

that particular wiper assembly is incredibly expensive and involved to replace and to install - i assume that when it went bad, it was simpler and more cost-effective to just replace the vehicle around it.

Everything you said is spot on. I’m one of those diesel fans. But neither I, nor any of the other diesel car owners I know, would even give the Equinox a thought. It’s just the wrong type of car for that market.
Diesel fans, to even become diesel fans, have to be paying attention enough to care. The Equinox, and cars

Credit where due, FCA’s Pacifica PHEV is literally the only hybrid van on the market, and a damn good one at that.

But yeah, FCA isn’t letting me down, because I knew they didn’t have the potential or forethought to pull something like this off in the first place.

Ford isn’t achieving the goals it set for itself.

You think Teslas are half baked? The original Focus EV had a range of 76 miles. It also cost $39,000.

Wait they made a diesel Equinox? This alone is news to me.

Not surprised in the least.
“Power tripping a-hole too embarrassed to admit he was breaking the law arrests the other guy to take the blame.”

Well whaddya know, that’s actually a beautiful sedan. Restrained, well-proportioned, and classic. I like it.

I agree with this 100%. I came here for the comments calling him out for being a whiny rich guy who’s just mad that somebody's got something that looks similar (and better!) than his custom one-off multi-million dollar car and I was thoroughly satisfied. Your comment is what I agree with the most though.

I found the SCG spokesperson ^

Hey! The car they designed looks a lot like our car that we designed to look like another car that looks a lot like the car they said their car is based on! How dare they!”

I, too, get mad when I pour my passion and soul into something and then someone comes along and makes my work look like the cheap Korean knock off version.

pissed off cuz ‘did it better’?

Coming soon, the latest car from SCUDERIA CAMERON GLICKENHAUS:

We have a winner.
I’m saying this is the prettiest car of the last 30+ years

You mean the Wigsphere?

I kind of stopped caring about new super/hypercars because they all look largely interchangeable, are unusably fast, and never get tracked anyways meaning the HP figures are nothing more than bragging rights. This one makes me do a complete 180. What an absolutely stunning design.

This is always the problem with these vehicles. The answer to “Is it a better value than a GTI?” is always “No”.

No they just let greed and laziness get in their way. I’m at the point of going back to shaming them for no longer being an American company because there is no good reason for Ford to not sell Ford cars in their home country. So much for the One Ford idea
