I thought Cry Wilderness was pretty funny.

I keep going back and forth from “it was fun but it just wasn’t the same” to “well hell, any MST is better than nothing.” It doesn’t help that the best episode was probably Mac and Me, and something about those things’ faces produces such a visceral reaction in me that I could barely stand to look at the screen.

I know it was a joke on Jonah Ray’s part but I really like the suggestion of going over to Shudder and working with Joe Bob.  There’s a lot of bad horror movies they could riff for cheap too.

What can I say but

If you think about what we owe to each other, then it’s only ethical that you allow that person to eat your dick.

Hey, not only was “Don’t Trust the B” a great comedy, but it was a surprisingly challenging educational show. All the mental gymnastics I had to do to try to figure out what the actual sequence of events was given their insanely out of order airing schedule...

Now playing

The triumphant return of Tom Baker to Doctor Who.

As long as this doesn't effect the chances of Megan Amram to win an Emmy.

Mercifully, the Television Academy—admitting its role in the problem, given that it’s handing out (exactly) a quarter of these things—hasstepped forward to do something about it. Per Billboard, the TV Academy has announced that it’s getting rid of one of the categories for the Daytime Emmy awards,

Thankfully, I’ve already got my EGOT, for El Pollo Loco, Golden Corral, Original Tommy’s and Tastee-Freez.

Just one thing to add: im still not convinced the chief IS crooked. The kkk outfit isnt his...its definitely his fathers or grandfather’s based on the framed picture.

The Foundation trilogy is more *fun*, but quality-wise I don’t think Asimov ever wrote anything better than The Gods Themselves.

I’d kill for a really well done I, Robot miniseries.

I’d just love it if the producers of Pennyworth got together with Jared and gave us the Man from UNCLE tv show we deserve.

Watch her singing I’m still here at Sondheim’s 80th anniversary gala (she was 83 or 84 at the time), the last performer who sang the anthem and lived through all that. Oh, when she was very young she was on Dracula tour with Bela Lugosi!

You must be too young to remember 1985, because that ‘Til Tuesday video for Voices Carry was on MTV constantly for quite a while and I’m sure I heard Casey Kasem explain what kyrie eleison meant more than once.

Also in the too-long-for-karaoke-why-are-you-doing-this-to-us? category: “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” (or, really, any Meatloaf)

Oh, and while it’s not particularly long, why oh why oh WHY do people who are not good (and I mean great) singers so often subject everyone to “Bridge Over Troubled Water”? {shudder}

Lyrics by British bands that did not translate to my American mind until much later:

the newly-minted Miss Dido, Queen of the Underworld, is def in the running for me.
