I mean, yeah? I’m sure getting Sora alone was a massive undertaking, I can’t imagine how much money it would have taken to get actual Disney characters in here. I’m actually impressed they got Mickey’s keychain.

Was just coming to say this.  I was like, “do they think Rocko is a dog?”

Definitely agree. This was probably the most dull way to include Sora.

Reading that in the article confused then angered me more than it should have.

Rocko is a wallaby, not a dog!

Glad they didn’t forget to include Sora’s best friends and companions, Raft and Star. Wait!

People talk about textures and all that, but having a good coder who can make some good compressed files go a very very long way.

You think the fear of piracy was keeping the pc gaming market down? Not the market share? Not the variance in the platform hardware? Interesting.

It’s only near-instant. For one, it can be countered, it’s just extremely difficult to do so. For another, it’s not instant death on detection, it’s instant death on capture, which is an important distinction - you’re meant to evade the EMMI, and even if they detect you, there are opportunities to escape.

I like how everything they keep saying is that their intentionally not going about this shot for shot. Then this intro comes out, and makes that seem like bullshit.

Knowing that this show doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell to be as great as the original, it’s a lot easier to just appreciate a project by a bunch of people who just love Bebop. There’s a fan film cheesiness to it that I kinda dig. I think their hearts are in the right place, trying to do right by the original,

It’s fine enough, but they either needed to compose entirely new shots, or not mesh the real life and 2D animation together. Also, the mimicked shots just look off putting since they’re shown in full motion rather than with stilted frames and motion blur.

Hrrrrrm, I don’t know. It kind of looks like some fan-made adaptation of the original intro or like a hip-hop video from the 90s or something. Based on this alone, watching the live action adaptation may be a bit too cringe for me.

Super Mario Bros wasn’t an arcade game.

“...I can discover very easily through Apple Music...”

YouTube Music has been trash since they removed the Variety Slider and Stations (yes, I’m still bitter they removed my 50+ stations with no warning). It’s much harder to find music I like in the genres I enjoy these days. No wonder Google stomped on the discord bots, they can’t afford competition for their garbage

It’s not straightforward at all. You can increase on screen diversity without bending reality.

Maybe the RIAA should accept changing market conditions and instead of going to war with litigation they should try to meet those changing market conditions and, I don’t know, make money while keeping consumers engaged.
