I don’t hate her but I despise the simp culture that exists today. She’s making a business decision to exploit them but it’s all around sad no matter how you look at it. I just ignore her streams like a normal person and don’t participate or interact with her or her chat.

It really cannot be said enough: the internet was a mistake.

It’s not particularly the algo dying, it’s that Twitter Blue subscribers try to farm engagement (get more views/retweets/quote tweets) by tweeting bad/”controversial” takes. Since engagement is monetized, it just creates a feedback loop of artificial “discourse”. It’s become even more of a hellsite because everyone is

the game was always good, if you played on hardware that could run it well

And how does the BMS keep the battery from getting too hot again?

It’s amazing how people keep falling for this clown’s bs. Safe and reliable FSD that can judge specific situations as well as humans is impossible and it’s not “right around the corner”. Any company that says they can accomplish this is knowingly scamming you.

It’s like pre-orders might be a bad idea? You pay for the shit sandwich, you don’t get to bitch about the shit sandwich.

Eh, they’ve been needing a design refresh for years now.  This is less a ‘look at them pushing things forward when they don’t need to’ and more a ‘they’re late in doing this, but at least they did well with it when they finally got around to it’.

Novel idea:
Instead of going out and blowing $25k before you’re established in a job and have a known steady income, just keep what you have for a year or so so you get a better grasp on life and what you’ll actually need.

United executives:

Yup. This pretty much instantly killed any interest I had.

Oh my god, the y2K Aesthetic is finally having its day! We’re gonna sweep aside all that shitty 80s retrofuturism for a bright, clean, beautiful design language in a game I can’t wait to-

I think mostly it's a combination of a *really* fucking cool art style paired with the disappointment of it being an extraction shooter

yea but it’s an extraction shooter so

“Look, Son, we can play video games on my car now.”

I agree with SnuggleStruggle that the real upside to 4k TV’s isn’t the resolution so much (although I can tell the difference between 1080 and 4 easily on my TV), but the HDR. HDR content can look so much better than non-HDR content.

When Street Fighter 2 Turbo came out, my mom totally shelled out the $84.95 it cost. But then again, carts were always more expensive to produce then discs. But now? The reason you have to pay 70 instead of 60 is because these companies spend a larger % on MARKETING than they ever have before. We are paying more so

Calling people on Kotaku “nerds” isn’t the insult you think it is.

lol nobody’s mad but “I’ve never heard of this guy so he can’t be popular!” is a weird take.

You could have spent 10 seconds on google to avoid making stupid posts like that.
