Oh I’m not surprised in the least. Companies always do the bare minimum when to comes to security since the shareholders and/or owners have to be fed before anything else. If it’s not a good ROI, they’ll skimp until something like this happens.

Yeah, Digital Foundry did a test, and with the drive they chose, the expansion drive was typically a little bit faster than the internal. Which surprised me, pleasantly.
That’s not what I’ve read. I have seen some data that suggests certain games even load faster on the expandable drive. I don’t want to go look for the article now, but that information should be readily accessible via google.
I’ve heard pre-orders are strong, but look up past sales yourself. A quick Google shows me that the entire Metroid series (15 games) has sold a total of a little over 18 millions copies. And since you bring it up I’ll use Pokémon as a comparison. Pokémon Sword & Shield on the Switch has sold around 22 million…
I guess it depends on your perspective. Personally I love the side scrolling Metroid games, but compared to other flag ship titles the series as a whole has pretty weak sales. So the reality is the series hasn’t been a show stopper. It’s big for its fans, but has relatively little impact in general.
I hope Insomniac has a big bottle of Advil. Their back must be hurting bad from carrying the PS5 all by themselves.
According to it, there were 897,745 channels streaming last Wednesday on August 25. That resulted in 2.415 million hours streamed and 65.167 million hours viewed. Yesterday, those numbers dropped to 834,107 total channels, 2.201 million hours streamed, and 54.877 million hours viewed.
It’s interesting, because I think Splicer had by far the best “story” and pacing of any of the past year or so of seasons, and I really enjoyed getting thrown into the Expunge missions as well as the aesthetic of it all.
Why is this blog post on Kotaku? How is this video game related?
You know if you worked at Giz. You could have made that list into a slideshow and made bank!
All of these cars come with HUDs
If imagination is required, that means you want someone to work for the answer and, buddy, I don’t know you and I’m not accepting homework assignments. The LS is powerful, breathes better than an 80's NASCAR motor and can be surprisingly fuel efficient on top of being a robust and reliable platform. It’s also compact…
This is about external drives.
Not physically.
...and none of them were children.
Holy crap I missed that part of the review. What a horrible design decision. I’m in the same boat where I’m lucky if I can sit down and play for an hour or two. I am assuming by “no save” means you can’t switch games, but you could pause and resume later, but still, I might be able to play 2-3 nights a week for an…
It’s the “myriad of other messenger apps” that negates the usefulness of messaging.
Because Apple did their marketing homework on this one.
Yeah, exactly this. If the options are “nothing is done at all” or “we will censor anything and everything”, it’s a lot better to have nuanced options. People have different words they use within their communities to different meanings. Terms of endearment are often based on insults after all.
