Did the same (except I have two ssds in my macbook :D, one with os x and one with windows 7). And I must say that when you are getting an egpu working with your laptop and have to reboot every other minute... That ssd BECOMES your best friend.

Yeah I definitely cheeped out when I bought my 2011 macbook pro.

Nope. The future is going to be ultra books paired with external graphics. You heard it first here!

My guess is the version 1 was from years ago, and the version 4 is much more recent.

Yeah if all you do on a tablet is watch shows. For the other 80%, it sucks.

Ah ok then I retract my statement :P. What they could be doing is implementing widgets into the new notification drop-down menu. This is similar to how os x handles its widgets (all of them are on a separate screen that is out of the way). However they do it, I hope its soon.

I hope this wasn't replied to me :(. But if its not I'm in agreeance with you.

My guess is because of battery life? Seems something Apple always worries about. My guess is they will bring widgets once they figure out a way to make it update only when you switch to that page; or something like that (kind of like how they waited for an efficient way to multitask). But yes, it is odd Apple has not

Troll hard? I've had my iPad 2 ever since it came out and the battery is absolutely stunning. It can stay alive on 8 hours car rides listening to pandora, watching netflix/HBO, reading books, and of course checking gizmodo.

How about 350 and it includes everything that came with it and a full body zagg installation? 16gb white wifi. Seriously :l

Don't forget about egpus paired with ultra books. I strongly believe consumers will have a phase of purchasing an ultra book for the road, then plugging it into an egpu at home to get near desktop performance.

Its hard to say until those Android dual-core phones are out for two years. They are relatively new, so nothing can really be said until one of those hits that 2-year mark so see whether they actually last.

Well I would want to keep my costumers phone running well for the two years he/she owned that phone. While iPhones are kept running smoothly, many Android phones begin to slow down/lag before that 2year marker. But once again, it all depends on when Google is able to keep all software updates in sync.

Then why are devices getting slower and slower? Software updates help keep a device running faster. Also, there are usually big features between these iOS updates that the less tech-savvy people like.

But that just means that Android only has one real phone people should buy :P

True. It's just that the amount of time a android handset gets updates compared to an Apple product is much shorter.

Sure as hell was when it came out. And didn't it come out in fall of last year?

Yes. The iPhone 4S costs so much more than other phones, the iPad costs so much more than other tablets...

True. There is a point at which no matter the OS, the hardware will have the ability to run it. I just hope Android finds a way of keeping more than a few phones updated for more than a year, just for the sake of tech :P

GS2 isn't even a year old yet. And thats kind of my point... Android phones with the same specs will perform worse compared to Apple products because of this ability to harness hardware and software. You just agreed that Apple products last longer than Android phones :P
