Wasn’t finding aliens a consequence of leaving Earth, not the reason to leave? Please don’t make me have to watch the whole thing again. :-)

They were leaving due to impending disasters brought about by climate change, and needed to find a way to safeguard the best and brightest in order to preserve humanity as a species. It was later that conspiracy theorists have added alien involvement.
There’s also a very good making-of documentary called “Behind the Curtain” that’s worth seeking out. Former cast members, producers, and the primary writer talk about their intentions, the show, and the aftermath.
Could be that it was meant to be St Martin de Porres...
I made a screensaver of my favorite “Obamas With Babies/Children” photos, and the accompanying music will be my 2008 inaugural mix tape. It ends on a hopeful note with the ‘Yes We Can’ remix by Tano Sokolow. Does it change anything? No, but it will cheer me up a bit.
Tarkin immediately looked wrong to me, very much a piece of animation. It was very good animation but at no point could my mind register it as a ‘him’. This isn’t about a so-called hot take or being contrary; CGI humans in motion generally appear strange to me. I would rather they have recast, given the small amount…
Another word for breasts used at that time was “dugs” (from Scandinavian words for ‘to suckle’). I suspect people got playful with pronunciation until it was “ducks” and more affectionately “duckies”.
So happy! No more fibroids and no more periods, plus it was at least 2 pounds by itself...
My surgeon was amused by my love of all things gross and medical, so she got someone on her team to take a lovely picture of my cantaloupe-sized fibroids + uterus being removed. Alas, the photo and scar are my only souvenirs.
No, that’s why we should stick to library science and not computer science when it comes to sorting books.
Sephora has it online at the moment as part of some UD retro thing. I don’t think it’s only at Sephora, but that’s where I saw it.
Bravissimo has white button-down shirts that accommodate boobs, but I think they’re only intended for thin busty women. The search continues...
It’s often quite creepy and unnerving; I can’t promise you won’t have nightmares, but those nightmares would have the best production design ever. I recommend daytime viewing to start, just in case.
And many hours later I bothered to find out what this “Senior Week” is. Sigh. Not only do I feel foolish, I’m also disappointed that there probably won’t be a book club.
I loved the True Crime site and if you started a book club, I know that I would be deeply appreciative. And that Bill James book is one of my favorites.
The TWSBI Eco is another good rival for the Lamy. They have similar pricing and the same Western-size nibs, but the TWSBI is a piston-fill pen. The clear pen body is where all the ink goes, so you can easily see the ink level and the workings of the pen. It’s cheaper than buying cartridges or converters, and you don’t…
It’s not inherently misogynistic to have an allegedly possessed girl in a story, especially when the story is in large part an examination of the assumptions we’ve made based on thinking, “oh, another demonically possessed young girl story”. The character is female because it’s a trope; the book is very self-aware…
A Smart Alec with a Freudian Slip, then? That would solve your problem of having one transferable set of pockets, depending on the size differences between your bags.
According to British chef James Thomlinson, 400g ground pork, 400g ground veal, and 200g ground bone marrow mixed together is supposed to be the closest resemblance to ground human flesh. Makes 6 to 8 burgers.
I like the scene on the swing, though.
