I trust your Father drove his family back from parties drunk, like REAL men did back then. I know mine did. 100% success rate I’m happy to say.

Bad 70's car memories. At least we were comfortable sliding around with no seatbelts in the back seat as our parents smoked and tossed garbage out the car window. The window gaps allowed some fresh air into the back.
What does it benefit a dealer to send an itemized quote via email? Let me guess, you sent the typical “send me your best price” request and no one is responding? It’s because dealers are tired of keyboard cowboys playing tough guy for a quote, only to forward it to every other dealer in town knowing that you’re too…
As a personal note I can only say that I totally know that feel. Towing in the snow is stressful no matter what it is your towing with.
How To Make A Beautiful Car
1.) Look at Toyota’s current designs.
2.) Don’t.
I’m almost the same age and I am in the same boat as you. My Jeep GC just eclipsed 200,000 miles and it has been mostly trouble-free.
A friend of mine bought a brand new Taco last year. He didn’t make it out of the dealership parking lot before the check engine light came on. Turned out to be a wasted camshaft, the engine had to be pulled.
Having just had my Tacoma bought back for Lemon, and A LOT of people other than myself having A LOT of issues with the 3rd Gen Taco, I do expect them to start tumbling down the resale list.
I just wish they were a bit bigger inside. I’m 6'2 and felt cramped in it. I was in the market for a truck and the Tacoma Off-road was on the top of my list. Then I sat in one. I ended up getting a F-150 instead.
This is the time for truck guys. I don’t think there’s a bad choice of the big 3. This looks like a good implementation of hybrid tech too if its used to smooth out ICE operation and give some extra grunt.
God forbid you show some humanity for people who may or may not agree with your political, social, or religious views.
Why the fuck not? The state of California provides more in federal funding than it receives.
With turbo gas engines, that is often the case. With turbo diesels, though, sometimes it goes the other way.
As a Volt owner I can say that if it works for your life, it is kind of the best of all possible worlds - electric to go around town, gas to drive to far-flung locations. It is a smaller car than I would normally go for but it does what it does very very well. I think it (gas as a generator, not propulsion) represents…
I totally agree. I drove a new Tundra and the first thing that came to mind was just how huge it was and actually just how hard it was to see out of. Side visibility was fine but the front end is so massive that when I was coming over a hill I couldn’t see shit. That and the thing just has zero steering feel and it…
Problem with that argument however, is that you can get one of the domestic trucks for essentially the same price and get at least a 4-5 MPG bump in any of them. All of the competitors have been updated at least 2 to 3 times since this thing has come out, making this long in the tooth.
The insane resale is what it has going for it....but then again you are paying sticker while all other trucks discount them by 8-10k.
Lexus face looks REALLY bad on this thing.
I personally know two families that passed on the new RX because they hated the predator face.
