It was a voluntary recall not government mandated. FCA got many similar reports of injuries that did happen due to human error. However, I think they decided that if a large percentage of people are having the same issue perhaps the design needed to be addressed. If someone were to be killed they could be held liable.

I see no reason for a recall unless the shifter itself or any part it is connected to fails. The instructions are dead simple and anyone who does not read their owner’s manual to learn how to use their vehicle is an idiot regardless of a change in design.

i finally saw one yesterday. it is a minivan by every dimension of the word. only thing different is the rear doors go up, not slide back..

Basically what i told my wife every time we see one

I thought they were already advertising at nail salons

Hey, it’s still on the American continent.

Part of having a police cruiser is having one that looks at least remotely sinister or intimidating.

They could go for the core of the redneck portion of the pickup market and call it “Budweiser-grade”.

Is there a more meaningless phrase than “military-grade aluminum”? There are so many different grades of aluminum that the military uses that it’s laughable.

Enzo prefers men with big hands.

Either way, this thing is an abortion of a vehicle.

Fugly POS

Great Guy, Great Boxer, Terrible Taste In Car Modification. As Mighty Car Mods Would Put It... “It’s Bling Shitty”

The Chinese will never play ‘fair’. And their legal system is rigged more than that in Western countries.

Really, who the heck expects a totalitarian, Communist government to play fair? Really?

That’s plum crazy talk! Challenger drivers don’t need their left leg anyway, there’s only one pedal that matters, and it’s on the right.

They still don't have an actual production model for the Model 3

Sounds like they have a solid competitor on their hands.

They should slow down and actually make sure everything works. The big guys aren’t going anywhere, 6 month delay won’t stop the Giulia from getting about the same amount of sales - but would help it’s reputation which is what Alfa needs to build more.

I don’t know that all owners are still “OK” with the problems. My friends with the Model X that kept trying to roll itself down a cliff have given up. Once it’s back from another door repair and the body shop (scratched itself during a clumsy Summons attempt) they’re selling it.

No, the whole thing is awful, from the headlights to the taillights. I appreciate the Prius for what it does, and might consider one if it had a little more room inside, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in this new design. Truly terrible.
