No, it’s not. No one’s storming any mansions, not one of the accused has been physically attacked. A bunch of people sitting around discussing sexual harassment is so far from ‘mob rule’ that I’d wonder what you would call an actual mob.

I was reading this story an hour or so ago, in the waiting room for my therapist, who specializes in gender, sexuality, and their intersection with personality disorders. I showed this to her and she just got a confused look on her face and goes, “yeah, that’s a stumper.”

Frankly, I think the appeal to misogyny is simply symptomatic of this poor kid’s intrinsic sociopathic manipulative streak. When caught, sociopaths typically have some reasonable sounding reason for the behavior, but under close scrutiny, it doesn’t hold up.
