Ha! I came here to share a similar story. At the time, there were two movies in my local theater that could potentially have carried the Phantom Menace trailer: The Waterboy, and Enemy of the State, both playing in adjacent theaters at around the same time. I chose to see The Waterboy. We didn’t get the trailer, and

Maybe you didn’t make a gross generalization, but you did imply direct causation between “good parenting” (which, in this case, is hard to quantify - we’ve just kind of put it out there in terms of the *end result*, which is a child ending up with good ethics, without even talking about what it means in a tactical

So, is your assertion that every single person who falls prey to poisonous ideologies does so because their parents didn’t put the effort in? I can’t help but feel that’s reductive, and ignores a whole host of other variables.

I’m sorry, but it’s not. Yes, the parents need to be a parent. Obviously. In no way am I saying they shouldn’t. They have a responsibility to make an effort to instill ethics in their children.

As an insomniac who has to maintain strict sleep discipline or face the specter of a run of nights lying awake, wishing for death, naps are the devil. Even the briefest of disco naps in the middle of the day has the potential to throw my entire life out of wack.

Fuck tinnitus. I started to develop a bit in my left ear a few years ago, and I’ve been die-hard about ear protection ever since - every concert I attend, every practice or show my band plays, or even just very loud bars, the plugs go in. I catch some shit, sometimes, but fuck it; as a musician and someone who loves

Yes, just like how, when my parents taught me that Catholicism was the right and true way, I stuck with that despite the massive amounts of outside information to which I was exposed, growing up, around the idea of religion and whether it’s a good thing, or not.

THANK YOU. It boggles my mind how immediately defensive so many gamers get when anyone says even the smallest negative thing about anything at all surrounding the pastime. A little self-examination is not a bad thing, folks.

Jesus, no one gets more defensive than gamers when anyone asks for a level of self-examination around the hobby. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT IN GAMING AND GAMING IS PERFECT KTHXBYE

Highlight trutherism incoming: He took four steps on that last dunk.

Are we counting scores? If we’re counting scores, then Star Wars.

I only recently heard “Cut to the Feeling” for the first time (yes, yes, I’m old and out of touch), and while this song is good, it can’t help but feel like a bit of a letdown after that. Then again, it’s hard to top absolute perfection, which “CttF” is, in pop song terms.

Cool story, bros: Freddy Krueger freaked me out more than anything as a kid. I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors on freaking USA (meaning some of the worst stuff was edited out), and I couldn’t sleep and had nightmares for a week.

In these dark times, this tour will be a balm on all our souls. Can’t wait.

Nope, fuck this guy, still. #Yexit.

I mean, that’s a hell of a catch, too. Over the shoulder, with a defender closing in? Fat man for WR.

*it’s his grammar for which I think he should get the chair.

AKA, the movie that convinced me, after decades of abstinence, to give marijuana a try.

“Republicans in Congress, meanwhile, would stand by and give no comment if Trump took a shit on the Lincoln Memorial and said Abe had “very bad views on slavery,” as long as he kept delivering wins to Big Industry.”
