I’d disagree on Reloaded - some good ideas don’t make up for all the bloat - but I go to bat for Revolutions for a number of reasons, not least of which is that it only briefly dabbled in the “we’re going to pat each other on the arms really fast” brand of martial arts choreography that was so dominant in Reloaded.…

I hated Kanye before it was cool.

You’re right, people change. The problem is, Kavanagh isn’t acknowledging that. Was he a bing drinker back then? No, he had a couple beers. Did people talk about him “ralphing” because he drank until he spewed? No! He has a “weak stomach.” The Devil’s Triangle was a drinking game. Etc.

The LAST thing I want is for anyone to try to be funny about this. This is serious as fucking cancer and I find nothing about it worth laughing at. 

Kanye just made an appearance at The Fader in which he endorsed sexual assailant 6ix9ine, as well as recently deceased domestic assailant XXXTentacion, Louis CK, Donald Trump, and Alex Jones, all while wearing a MAGA hat. Given everything going on, we’re all just kind of cool with this and looking forward to him…

Let’s not forget that 52% of white women voted for Trump even after all the allegations against him were out. There may be a small price these asshats pay for comments like this, but it’s not enough to damage them definitively, because America.

Allow me to lay out my five-point explanation for why your personal opinion about the subjective ranking of pieces of art is objectively incorrect. 

There are a lot of interesting things to unpack in the Pitchfork article. The first is that it reeeeeeaaaaally paints Sheridan Allen as the biggest jerk in the whole scenario, misrepresenting herself as a licensed therapist and inserting herself into various people’s personal narratives on a Some Kind of Monster…

Scorching hot take 1: Yes, because what the MCU/Avengers movies need are to be stuffed with *more* characters, perhaps even whole teams of them.

I’m not against more movies in the Potterverse but boy, howdy, do we need a fresh eye behind the camera. Yates has done some good and not-so-good work, but he’s been helming these things for over a decade, at this point. Fantastic Beasts felt tired, and this trailer makes this movie seem *exhausted*. Give someone else…

I think the odds are fairly long - the overall polls show a very tight race, but when you look at only “likely voters,” Cruz’s lead shoots up to somewhere around 9 points. Still tighter than one might expect, but not cause for huge amounts of optimism.

If you ever get the chance to see Christine & the Queens live, please do. It’s an absolutely kick-ass show.
