Heard the same thing when people started asking them about airing the new Channel 4 show. PBS is negotiating for at least some, if not all, of the first three seasons. I just saw an episode of the original Season 3 as a rerun while I was in the UK, and I WANT IT.

Another exhibit designer chiming in here, and yes, the screen thing has become a de facto addition because of The Young People. They can definitely be a good tool to convey information when used judiciously, but overuse makes them no better than noisy wallpaper, poor interface design annoys visitors, and many museums…

I think they do give a crap, though, insomuch as many, many people want everyone else to be just like them to justify their own choices and assure them that they’re normal and doing things “right.” But admitting that is such an obvious sign of weakness that they never say it.
