What I’ve generally found is that it depends on the airline. On some* airlines, the difference between Basic Economy and Economy really isn’t much. Usually just means you can’t pick a seat in advance, you’re ineligible for upgrades, and your itinerary can’t be modified, even for a fee as well as some luggage

Running Windows in a VM is nice and all but you gotta remember that in that situation you’re sharing resources with MacOS which depending on the specs of your machine might lead to less than optimal performance. Sometimes you need the full horsepower of your machine, in which case you want to run on bare metal instead

It needs a video input, so you’d have to watch Netflix from your PS4. Built in apps from your TV quite simply won’t work, which is unfortunate, but makes sense due to the implementation.

that’s too good of a price to pass up as these things don’t really ever go on sale like that. Ordered!

Yikes. Hopefully US prices are a bit around the 15k mark.

Looks like the Panigale V2 is going to be my next bike... I wonder how it’s going to be priced.

This actually looks good; could have been a Lexus. It’s almost like Toyota was actually listening about how weird looking the Mirai was.

Might not guarantee you an all adult flight, but a Business or First Class ticket usually means no kids next to/around you.

Sonos sells an experience; think Apple. It doesn’t inherently mean the products are better, but the experience IS better. It does help that they do sound excellent, though.

Hmm... Is it me or does this new version sound like it’s missing the really low end notes? I just played it turned up and it doesn’t instill the same type of dread/excitement that the original does. Maybe they forgot to include the LFE channel in the 2 channel mix?

There's still rules as to where you can and can't go supersonic. You'd have to somehow get authorization from the FAA to hit supersonic speeds over land in the US.

If she was used to the S8 and was fine with the maintenance, why not another used S8? The S8 is one of those things that really lives on it’s own island; it only has 2 competitors, the S65/63 and the B7 Alpina. I’m assuming she’s used to fast barges for which another fast behemoth would be a good replacement. There’s

ACC is just normal CC with some smarts. And with most cars with ACC I’ve driven if the weather gets bad enough, it’ll just turn off the smarts and leave you with regular CC.

I actually beg to differ.. I find that even though you can play to Sonos directly from Spotify, eventually Spotify forgets that you were playing to Sonos. The Sonos won’t stop playing the music, but the Spotify app won’t allow you to control it. Thus at the end of the day, it ends up being easier to just use the Sonos

Wait until your kids are old enough, then have them drive you for free. Win win.

Wow. That’s very arduous indeed. GE could learn a thing or two from Lifx. Their bulbs are relatively easy to reset if needed.

Just take the car to the local Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, or BMW dealership if you don’t trust your Ford, Chevy, etc dealer. They’ll usually work on other brands as well but you get a much better service experience. Just get ready to pay a bit/a lot more than normal.

What’s wrong with that? At the end of the day, these are living rooms on wheels... Longer wheelbases mean more living room space.

I’m pretty the car has warnings all over telling you not to put your fingers in the door because once it starts closing its not gonna stop.

The CR-V owner is in for a world of hurt.. This tiny little “bump” has the potential to max out a policy quite easily..
