So jealous of those of you in the states who can request tamiflu. NHS advice in the UK is to let it run it’s course, with rest, plenty of fluids and paracetamol. They won’t prescribe tamiflu - even during the swine flu epidemic tamiflu wasn’t given out unless you were literally hospitalised first with it. Hence old

I guess it depends if they could get the decision on record from the palace. The queen is famously ‘never complain, never explain’ and protective of her privacy - I can’t see the palace being eager to supply evidence that would become tabloid fodder in a civil suit..

Yup, same here- students union too. From what I recall though, if you wanted to find the real douchebags you headed over to the LSE campus!

Really? Where? I’m in the UK and haven’t come across a single instance where anyone has been less than neutral - majority of people I’ve met are really happy for him as he has been alone or stuck with the gruesome twosome on engagements for a while. Kate and Wills on the other hand - know several people who have gone

Ahh my mum has that exact one... it started a weird spate of receiving souvenir bells every birthday and Christmas from family members so have never forgotten it :-)

I’m white & in the UK, & I winced immediately at this.  We still have a legacy of “fans” throwing bananas at black football players both here and in Europe, and I’d say the average person on the street would see the problem without it having to be pointed out. I’d say boycott but I can’t buy there due to their fascist

Sounds reasonable enough to me - I loved Cardiff Castle when I visited from London and I don’t recall the entry being particularly expensive compared to a trip to the cinema or my monthly Spotify bill. If charging out of town visitors prevents it being totally ruined by being sold off (like Merlin Entertainment have

I’m a Londoner and I’d rather the British museum charged a token amount - the majority of people there wouldn’t think twice about paying £10 to see star wars, I don’t see the difference. Underprivileged kids etc can be reached by local schools programmes by the museum

I can see the point of charging foreigners like myself - if I’ve already paid £000's for a vacation from the UK to NYC it seems churlish to demand the new York taxpayer funds my activities once I’m there. It boils my piss seeing wealthy people walking past the donation boxes but little old ladies turning out their

I wish weed helped with my anxiety - I find it makes mine much worse. However it’s illegal and unregulated in the UK so can never tell what you’re getting- compared to 10 years ago everything seems to be trippy skunk now, rather than a mellow relaxing couple of hours.

Hey thank you! Yeah today’s programming has been Christmas Great British Bake off, loads of The Crown and the Queen’s Christmas Message, so quite a traditional Christmas day but distracts from being stuck indoors!

I hope you’re feeling better soon - I’m same, in mid-30s and trying to persuade my doc that quality of life matters more than children (esp since I’ve never wanted any!).

Well done on kicking smoking! It’s even harder when you enjoy it - you should be proud of your awesome willpower!

Can we have an Embarrassing Christmas Story thread? I broke both arms doing sport 2 days ago and have basically fucked our Christmas- had to uninvite our guests because my husband is having to do literally everything for me. Also managed to ruin a new years eve visit by the in-laws 9 years ago with a public fainting

1000 x Yes!! But who would be the female Hans? Still needs someone campy but also very creepy to make some of the classic gags work...

Ahh I love Obama even more now that I know this!

To be fair, the trailer (and therefore the film) look pretty dire to me. Because of course the ladies’ heist has to include fashion and pretty clothes, and include some pretty poor actresses to atttact their social media following (I’m looking at you Rhianna). Fuck the sexist bullshit comments, but one of the tweets

Uninformed Brit here but just wondered - is he just doing this as an all-round good guy? Or does being an ex-president come with a specific role outlined? I know they still get called Mr President, but our PMs just tend to disappear off on consultancy jaunts and make themselves a shit-ton of money... we’re still

I am so excited about this -Claire Underwood was always the most compelling character for me, and Robin Wright is an amazing actor. I hope the script does her justice!

I have tiny skinny little spider lashes, and that stuff just glues them together into one big lash! I’ve been enjoying bareminerals flawless definition mascara as it’s quite runny so they look tinted rather than mascara’d (I love tinting but my eyes were stinging & blurring afterwards because of the fumes, which has
