Directional indicator is the same thing as a line connecting you to the pokemon. It will just keep pointing you in the right direction until poof there he is! IMO that would hurt alot of what makes this game fun.

Thats the thing, there is no correct way to use it. I think people think it does MORE than it actually does. It simply informs you that these pokemon are near by and you are closer to the top ones than you are the bottom.

Not sure why people say this. I have had much success tracking pokemon down using the nearby feature. Games arent always going to give you step by step instructions. It gives you enough to be able to hunt down the pokemon in the nearby tab. I can tell if im getting hotter or colder by watching other surrounding…
