For what it’s worth, I checked out Never Have I Ever based on Duffman’s comment, and binged the whole series. It was a delight—there were a lot of laugh-out-loud funny jokes. I think it’s funnier and a bit more lighthearted than Sex Education, even while dealing with really dark subject matter.
The ending didn’t ruin it for me (quite possibly because I saw it coming), but I do find myself wanting to compartmentalize the first 8 and 5/6ths episodes, from the last 1 and 1/6th (I can pretend clown-face boy is just another Elegant Squatch-type character).
As far as I’m concerned, he earned it with “Horse loose in a hospital”.
