That’s right!  I loved that show, but for some reason couldn’t place the era in my head or picture other players. Thank you! (I only discovered AV Club in like 2018). 

I can certainly assure you it’s not. I’m in L.A., and most are liberal ex-Catholics prone to tolerance and inclusivity. Old, young, and in-between. It probably depends on where you live. In more conservative areas, I’m sure AA may be this way. But not here.

My first look at Andre was a show where he worked at a coffee shop and was a 2ndary character... but I can’t remember for the life of me the name of it or who else was in it. 

Yeah, you’re both probably right. He’ll probably keep fucking up and apologizing or holding the same beliefs and keep it to himself. ... I’ve yet to meet any racists (knowingly so) in AA and if I have, perhaps they have only learned to keep it to themselves or 10 step their resentments... perhaps multiple times.

My understanding is Gibson has been sober for 10 years now, and as you work the 12 steps, you work on your character defects. I don’t know, however, if that takes racism and bigotry away. Let’s hope he’s had the right mentors and sponsors to set him straight.
