I’m torn about this — because I don’t believe we should be overly interventionist — but what are we doing FOR those countries ravaged by drug wars and other strife that has caused so many thousands to flee? Is there something we can be doing at the democracy/civic/humanitarian level if not one that involves guns and

Oh, Don’t cross Sparty. Michigan State is a good school!! (but I get what you mean. You mean public universities).

There is no way that Trump “tried” to get a pilots license.... “buy” one without learning any of the fundamentals of flying, sure. But “Try?” You must be joking.

Don’t elite colleges WANT those kids? Especially knowing that these successful and well-known actors can bring in other money, donate a wing of a building, and their children can otherwise attract other star-struck applicants? ... I would think colleges would be courting THEM. Why on Earth would they need to go

“If we don’t acknowledge that this ridiculous joke is somehow an issue, and do it OUR way, they’ll do it their way, which is far more mean and awful.” — The DLC Mantra of the 1990s.

Miami’s pitch should have been, “Host the DNC here in Miami... while you still can.

She SOUNDS great in her campaign pitch now (e.g. she was masterful on a touring episode of Pod Save America), but of all the candidates, she is the one I trust LEAST to REMAIN as Progressive as she currently sounds if elected.

You have to tell Republicans that you mean “the Puerto Rico that’s a county in Norway.” ... That should do it without any follow up questions.

I think Seth thinks the DLC is still the heart of the Democratic Party. What a time warp. All he has is the looks. The rest is just an empty suit that happens to be a good shot.

So, a non-criticism criticism?  This is almost as bad as a “teaser trailer” before a movie.

This pretty much solidifies the vote I was already leaning toward making for her. And people have to remember -- such moves are GOOD for the economy, and GOOD for prices, not the “anti-business” “anti-success” bullshit that we’ve been spoonfed since birth.

That’s a fair critique. In that regard, my comments do seem inconsistent.

Touche. Nothing forgives the mass incarceration of black and brown people fervor of crime laws in the early 1990s. Democrats were getting beaten to a pulp on crime and surrendered their own values to supposedly “win” “middle of the road” voters. It’s a shame.

Sure, these words are awful, I think, even for the time they were spoken. But if this VERY progressive blog wants more Democrats to grow and become more progressive both in word and deed (and soul), ... you have to LET THEM DO THAT. Do you want more in the tent or fewer in the tent?

Samantha Bee is a national treasure. I love take-downs like this. People that are horrible but think they are good are the worst of the worst.

No one earns themselves any “points” by running out of a burning building. Even less so by saying, “I was against lighting the building on fire, even if it didn’t seem like it at the time.”  This guy is as complicit as Ivanka and all of these twisted fuckers.

Great Office pull!

Wow, you have me recalling players I haven’t given a thought to in YEARS. ...B.J. Surhoff!!

Uh... Mike’s girlfriend isn’t interviewing trainers. She’s interviewing new prospects.

We need that Britney Spears guy to film a weeping, passionate video shrieking “Leave AOC and Ilhan ALOOOOoowwwn! Leave ‘em aalOOOOOOOnnneeee!”
