Admittedly those are from individual store catalogues and not standard. If memory serves, Sears, Toys R Us, and other higher end retailers had generally higher prices, and games that had special hardware like MMX2-3 or Yoshi’s Island were more expensive as well, but were generally exceptions.

I felt like I was aware of that bias and putting a lampshade on it in my comment, but maybe that didn't come through. XD

With an option for the gloriously bad original dubbing.

I know you can't judge a book by its cover, but it feels like every time I read about a hate crime, racism, or bigotry, they look like THAT in the header image and it gets that much harder to resist doing.

...wasn’t Overwatch $40, or amI remembering wrong? Could easily be the latter.

Having looked more into it thanks to sources, it seems Chess dot com uses an algorithm to check for cheating. Last I checked, algorithms were not perfect, and several have been known to be triggered due to unusual play alone... which an expert chess judge noted would also explain an opponent having trouble with it.

Doping in the Olympics, fixed matches in boxing, bribed umpires/referees in various sports. Why should Chess have more stringent standards? Just because it tickles your faux intellectual boner? Don’t be an idiot.

There’s also a difference with throwing a tantrum on stage once and doing so repeatedly. At least Niemann has the excuse of his confirmed cheating being as a minor, and he was already punished for it by being banned from the platform he cheated on. Remind me how often people in other competitions (like say, the

Okay. Post your entire history here so we know what mistakes and immoral actions to judge you for for the rest of your life. I feel like once is enough, obviously.

Yes.

Much thanks for source.

Thank you for the source, will read. Sounds like my opinion will be changing to “both manbabies should be removed”.

In that analogy, investment is like medicine. Good for targeted purposes, but terrible literally everywhere outside of those targets, but companies would LOVE if you forgot that.

And yet companies existed long before the stock market did. That tells me something, I just can’t put my finger on what.

Can I get a source on these?

Still, over on Twitter, you can find tons of angry replies to Netflix’s trailer, with people claiming it’s just a hit job meant to make retail investors look terrible.

And yet an older guy who should REALLY know better ragequits a match on a national stage (that HE instigated no less) and isn’t instantly banned from professional games. Dunno about you, but I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t done questionable things in their early to mid teens, so it still seems stupid in my eyes.

So Niemann admits in good faith that he cheated once—as a child, I should stress—so Chess.com bans him.

Improved spritework? The gameplay video doesn’t show any new frames of animation, nor are the base sprites themselves particularly more detailed. The environmemts and rune effects are certainly greatly improved, but that makes the spritework clash to me.

See the last part of the very post you replied to, genius. You did it to yourself.
