I thought Georgian mansion kitchens were often in the basement. In later eras, with far less household staff, the owners would find a place on the ground floor to shoehorn it in. And so many have had the entire original layout chopped up and rearranged over time.

I had an out of state friend invite herself to stay with me in my tiny apt during her visit to Seattle. Okay. Then she announces a change in the dates. It would now be during a school holiday and her 13 year old daughter was insisting she come. Kid’s dad (and loads of extended family) could have looked after her in

Yeah, I’m wondering if that time spent living with a non-wealthy family with firm but kind parents, chores, and a part-time job or structured volunteer work could have done her some good.

Plenty of women were sexually assaulted on dates in the 50s and were traumatized by it.

I’m super lazy. I just buy this. It’s delish.

I have found that many people consider fat women less deserving of career success, lovely homes, amazing travel experiences, great sex....confidence....opinions ..hopes...dreams...

I dunno.....they can buy a really big house, lots of cheap Help and powerful air conditioning in those red states. I suspect if you’re wealthy and without a social conscience you could be pretty darn comfortable.

I’m betting on marriage to a very rich, very old guy she can’t stand.

I always figured she only took the WH job as a stepping stone to a Fox “news” gig. I’m serious.

Me too, since 1977.

You’re killin’ it lately. Full disclosure: I think of you as “the raisin guy”.

My cat is ALL into paper. Not a great mix with working at home.

Me too, that’s a cat dancer.

I qualify but don’t need the help. Won’t mean much to me so I’m looking into donating it to an individual or organization where it will have the most impact.

Medicaid in Washington State is quite good. Pretty easy to qualify if you are self employed since they use Net Income, not Gross Income to determine eligibility.

This part is a little turned around, I think. After your out of pocket cost of $4500 per person (or $9K per family, per year), then the insurance pays 80% of the remaining negotiated cost, and you pay 20%. Right? I think the ACA eliminated max annual and lifetime limits.

NY/SF...the entire Bay Area, Seattle/Kirkland/Redmond/Bellevue, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, CA coast from Santa Barbara to San Diego....

Or you’re like my mom and her husband who have travelled the world, been annoyed by all the poors, didn’t like the food anywhere, and still view the world through a very narrow lens.

Meh......mine’s better and I’m not rich and haven’t been able to go to a salon all year.

I dunno, I heard it’s regularly on the menu at Balmoral.
