EV’s certainly are a necessity by all measures, given where we’re headed as a species on planet earth. Burning fossil fuel to make a car move is as logical as using coal to power a locomotive. Your response seems pretty highly biased towards ice cars, your clear preference. Doesn’t really seem like you read or

This article is sure to coax out the many EV detractors, as most of these articles often do. It’s obvious to many of us that electric technology offers many advantages over ice, and is largely the future we’re headed for. While detractors make valid cases in favor of ice or hybrid, they don’t really seem to give equal

I feel like any time a Brand is asked to comment on making their product “for women” or “for men” or “for (insert demographic here), they should default to “our products are for everyone who wants them” rather than circumlocute themselves into cringey statements like they typically do. And then actually follow

Take us seriously! This is a real, honest to goodness truck for hard working people and not some gimmick.

Tanks a lot Rivian

I hate the term “furbaby” or in this case “feline child” and that’s where I quit reading.

I say this now to all of you who would use such terms seriously.....

You sound like a 6yrold when you say it.

A cat is not a child and calling it one shows a level of ignorance that is jaw-droppingly insulting to parents.

Your cat

Don’t worry, this air freshener is INflammable!

There certainly is a crapload of people in the comments of every Porch and/or Tesla article that are butthurt that Jalopnik writers are unfairly criticizing ______. I’m on the side of Occam’s Razor... the Taycan probably got rated lower because it has lower range.  Teslas probably have comparably bad overall build

It’ll be usable as a city car, but they better make it damn cheap. You can get a used e-Golf for a pretty decent price these days, and if it’s a second-gen (2017 or newer) it will equal or beat the Mini’s range.

It’s like many of you don’t read the fucking article before commenting.

I always thought these arguments are dumb. Do you always use every feature of your car? Did you buy a 4 door, but spend 90% of your time with just you in it? Did you buy a WRX and literally never rally it? Did you get a GTI but only very occasionally drive sportingly? Does your minivan really get all 7 seats used?

I wanna know where the fuck Torchinsky is?

👍 Fueled by greed, but with a net positive and result. Much like Walmart installing solar panels and rainwater collection on their stores. It has nothing to do with any regard for the environment it’s purely for them to save money on their water and electric bills still has a net positive outcome for the environment.

Oh, this is going to be fantastic.

These luxury EV’s, including Tesla, are nothing but accessories for the well off. They are most likely either the 2nd or 3rd car in a household that probably includes something like a Range Rover SVR, some big ass luxobarge or a sports car.

I know, how does the seller expect to not get monkeys after the car? It’s banana yellow!

Still got mine :)

I’d go for a Sony Minidisc myself.

Here’s the $19,999 model:
