I know right? I miss the time when we readers can rate TV shows in the old AV Club site. Even logging in is such a pain in the ass in this new design.

Linda is a splendid mix of utter ignorance and complete competence, isn’t she? God, I love this show.

You sound like my doctor. “You have to change the way you eat, or you are going to die!” Anyway, give me a cheeseburger.

Maybe the next gift for you will be a membership to Stuntman Boot Camp!

along with the dancing mr. boom-boom!

Yeah, wouldn’t it be great if we could contribute our own ratings? Pity websites can’t do that.

Yeah, I think hostile behavior really requires some sort of power imbalance to count as “bullying”. But there’s nothing wrong with striving not to be cruel generally.

- Any episode can be improved with an appearance from Mr. Ambrose.

Yep, Tammy’s a handful!

God he was annoying. You are right, she was great.

Definitely. The joke density was off the charts. So many throwaway lines and weirdly funny BB-specific moments: the bit about the burger reviews culminating with the subtle but crazy eyes; all the Sound of Music references; Tammy’s evolving but otherwise totally irrelevant hairstyle. The casualness with which Bob

I loved the payoff to Linda’s story. “You still owe $35" -> “GOT IT!”, bam! end of episode.

- “The whole time I pictured myself as the Julie Andrews type, but maybe I’m more like, uh...” “The Nazis?” “Oh no. Is there another villain?” I suggest Mr. Banks’ financer boss from Mary Poppins.

She’s bad at math but great at baths.

“You okay in there, honey? Is it a chance of rain? Or thunderstorms?”

I loved Bob’s acceptance that Linda was pretending to be a bathroom attendant. That’s the sign of a long and healthy relationship, right there. I also loved the payoff when Linda immediately had the cash to cover the bill.

A lesser show would’ve crammed in a C-story about Linda trying to keep her side gig a secret; BB has it as a throwaway aside and damned if I didn’t chortle at Bob’s complete nonchalant dismissal of it with “your mom’s pretending to be a bathroom attendant”.

I got an amazon gift card for my recent birthday and ordered several books, including the “Bob’s Burgers Burger Book,” with the real recipes for Bob’s burgers. So my life just got a lot better, though probably also shorter.

“She’s like my grandma at a yard sale: going after our junk!”

the whole thing with tina becoming a bully felt a little “both sides” ish. Tammy had been mean or manipulative to tina from day one, to expect kindness back seems a little much. Tammy seemed like she could dish it, but not take it.
