Barbarella being female is one of the ways they toy with the trope. Pygar is very much the embodiment of ‘born sexy yesterday’ and it’s intercourse with her that restores him to health.

Barbarella would seem to play with this trope in a variety of ways, in situations where she’s the ‘born sexy yesterday’ character and the one taking advantage of a ‘born sexy yesterday’ character.

Westworld’s production issues did end up scuttling a couple other shows that were in early development though, with that money going toward shoring up Westworld. I was quite looking forward to Utopia, but Westworld possibly killed it.

1) The CDC cannot properly do any research into firearm safety because the amount of money that they’ve been allocated for that purpose is pathetic. And any funds they put into such research will be cut by an overzealous congressman.

He can’t because Congress doesn’t allow federal agencies to collect and investigate such data.

I look forward to re-watching season 1 episodes through the flashbacks of season 6.

Intrigued, but a little put out by the references to an actual tragic event. Mentioning ‘rebirthing’ is fine, but actually mentioning ‘Newmaker’ seems a little too on-the-nose, on top of treading precariously close to any legal issues that shows like L&O try to avoid when they have the “this is not based on a real…
