I’ve never met anyone named Ariel but I know it’s a name. Like I’ve never met anyone named Scarlett or Penny but I wouldn’t be confused if I met one.

I do have a separate sort of deep sadness for the artists when events like this happen because it’s their name, their image, their celebrity that drew in that crowd and I can’t imagine the pressure of that (misplaced) guilt but yeah #PrayforAriana is ludicrous.

She did a video stream or something and said it was because she didn’t know her mom would be on the show, no one told her and she wouldn’t have given her permission if she knew her parents would be there and get betrayed by someone she considered a friend.

I think it was more “I feel betrayed by this person I thought was a friend. I should write a son about friend betrayal.” Hence, Bad Blood. Not, Katt deserves an entire song to take her down about the ultimate backstab. Because you’re right, Bad Blood is ambiguous.

So true. And also you know that’s the whole thing. It started when Katy was dating John Mayer and he was still salty about Dear John. I will admit to liking Taylor and not liking Katy for separate reasons so I am biased. But still.

I don’t think this would work as a whole movie, but definitely would have been super cool for parts. That’s kind of brilliant.

Someone else was saying that it should have been from Henrietta’s POV and I agree with that. Like if it had been a completely different narrative from the book, it would have been a feasible albeit loose adaptation. I would have liked to see deborah’s POV while skloot was writing the book and more of Henrietta.
