The article was changed, it stated 1 year this morning.

It says right in the article, jail time up to a maximum of 1 year for reckless driving.

Without getting too specific I am in the rural areas that surround the Canton area.

Never thought I would say this in my lifetime: Way to go New Jersey!

Come on up to where I live in the redneck part of Northeast Ohio. If you can drive for more than 50 miles on any road in my county without seeing at least 1 person rolling coal, I will personally bake you cookies.

I guess you never read comment chains before making comments. Had you done so, it would have been abundantly clear that I was talking about a terminal cleaning brush and not a can of soda. Especially since the originating comment that I had posted in the discussion was about the fact that I thought this was a bad tip

You may want to try actually reading comment threads before making comments on them. I was very obviously talking about a battery terminal cleaning brush that I had linked to in my original comment.

As I am also a pretty active member over at Jalopnik, I would make the argument that if someone is too afraid to disconnect the leads from the battery, they probably shouldn’t be driving a vehicle at all. I mean heck, would they be too scared to jump their car if the battery went dead?

This is one of those things that is so small and cheap, you just buy one and throw in your glovebox or your emergency kit in the trunk.

Or you know, just buy one of these and clean them properly instead of dumping acidic sugar water all over your car and it’s electrical system.

TIL: Airplane exit doors use Time Lord technology.

Would they need one? I feel like with the squishy bodies and stuff, they could take a pretty good hit without causing much damage.

Then again, I don’t know much about octopi or squid.

$2000 and an ungodly amount of their families time which when added up, probably gets them close to the $30k mark anyway.

Some people have money, some people have time, you do what you can with what you got.

Even for an early 90’s engine, 210K is barely a drop in the bucket as long as it was kept in proper maintenance. Normally random Joe Blow isn’t going to be buying an NSX, the people who tend to buy them also tend to be the people who actually care about cars. Honestly, as long as it came back with a clean PPI, no

I am no lawyer so take this with a large dose of salt (where is Steve Lehto when you need him?):

It is my understanding that if you modify your vehicle with aftermarket parts so that they no longer meet federal safety standards, such as lifting a truck so it’s bumber is above the maximum allowed height, than that

I really wish police across the nation would enforce the many federal and state laws against this so that it would end.

For the most part an air compressor is an air compressor. But they do use electric motors to compress the air and sometimes cheaper brands tend to fail earlier than their more expensive counterparts. Even still though it is normally not that often, at least in my experience. You also want to take a look at the hose

Yes, yes it does. Although in practice you should really just have separate accounts in windows.

No that just states that if a cop thinks you are breaking a law (even if you aren’t) that they have the right to search you or your vehicle.

It doesn’t affect the legality of your actions. If they write a ticket, they still have to tell you what law or statute you are breaking. Even if they do somehow manage to write

Torch, you’ve done it again! This post is the absolute perfect mix of insanity and plausibility. I find myself sitting at work thinking to myself “well you know as crazy as that sounds... it’d prolly work”.
