You’re complaining about a universally praised Pininfarina design, one which hasn’t aged in a world of cookie cutter classics? And you’re comparing a vehicle with two updates to one no longer in production? Just wait until 2067 and compare that Mazda model to a 2017 Fiat 124.

I disagree. The rear end embodies the rear of the classic Fiat 124 Spider built from 1966 to 1985.  The designer, Tom Tjaarda, created a masterpiece. 

If I’d known....I have a friend in the LA area who’s a collector of almost anything Italian. He’s got a 1976 Fiat 131 Wagon, complete with the standard 1.8 DOHC and a five speed.  

Then they’re not very liberal, with a huge energy intensive SUV and home, are they?

Yet it happens. This is the end result..

You can’t have one without the other. And eventually after you have both, it becomes unsustainable. Nothing lasts forever.

Finally, the “City of Tomorrow” I was promised. We had some really grim teachers that preached about this back in 1982. They may have provided source material for this little educational filmstrip.
