@lizyfizy: I'm packing a sandwich for mine (I start Wed!). Ham & Cheese, or Peanut Butter. Hopefully no one has a peanut allergy. I second snacks, who knows when they'll let us go, eh?

@Penny: My dogs runs after them to give them a smooch. He's never caught one so I'm assuming that's what he wants to do. ;)

@Sputnik_Sweetheart: Have you started looking for other jobs? Or are the issues something that will get better with time?

@CynicalPink: Remember when it was just a Discovery Channel -esque channel? Argh.

My SO is making me watch Animal Horders on Animal Planet. Shudder.

@ill_wind: Haven't yet reached it. I'm 22 now.

@snacktastic: I do that. I know I need a Dyson when I get a German Shepherd. Because their hair and my hair — we'll have tumbleweeds.

@MrsNorthman: It's definitely possible. Fruit? All you need to do is wash and cut, usually.

@Allabouteve: I'm a transplant to TX from NYC. So, as a native NY'er (not exactly what you asked for but...) expect filth, expect crowded (overcrowding), you will meet a mix of everyone you could possibly imagine and more. I miss NYC and public transportation.

@wildetypewoman: Read, write, watch movies no one else wants to watch. Clean, reorganize (way easier without people messing things up as soon as you're done). I lived in a crowded house.

@talk_hockey_to_me: Several moments in Joy Luck Club. I guess when her family didn't believe she was raped.

Job News & Question:

@morninggloria: I left a bad, bad situation at my parents' house. My aunts say it was 'just fear', but I had multiple nightmares in which I dreamt I was killing my brother. Including one last night even though it's been 3 months. Fear is real, I'm glad I'm out of there.

@Eralc Alegna: Good luck. I remembered that night before I left. I was stressed but excited.

My parents were just like this. They're Chinese immigrants and I'm more American, and they said I have to find a man better than me. My alma mater scared off one dude's parents because I was "too smart for him".

A consultant was brought in to my women's college to speak with seniors about looking good for work. She said women who wear makeup make more money than those who don't, something like 30% more. Well, I started working on Wed. The salary was determined before I was interviewed, so for this, no.

I just read out loud the two choices to my SO and his father. His father said he'd pick the first one because she's already put together, so she'll probably dump him later and move on with her career.

@Nimnyn: You got the Jezzies. We aren't close but we'll keep you from loneliness.

@mrs.gideon: I was just thinking this last night. I haven't reached "woman" yet. I'm 22. I think I need a job and an apartment first.
