As I just left a emotionally and mentally unhealthy home, this article touched me. While I didn't have the threat of an honor killing to worry about, my father still didn't understand that I am an adult and as an adult I can make my own decisions. I'm sorry that there are women out there less fortunate than me.

Making a Sally Beauty Supply run this weekend. Never been, eyeshadow color suggestions? I'm Asian and only have neutral/natural eyeshadows so far and want to find something to make my eyes more noticeable.

@Shiroiko: I agree. It would probably help if the very vulnerable collarbone area wasn't exposed too. But she looks much more kick arse now.

I like beards because my SO's shaven face takes about 10 yrs off his appearance (he's 24), and it HURTS when it grows back. Admittedly, he needs to trim the hair a bit in order to not look like the wolf man.

@agirlnamedstewart: My SO says I'm OCD because I want to vacuum my room again. I just vacuumed two days ago, but this morning his mom realized their dog, who is my new BFF, has fleas. She just gave him a bath and I took a hot, soapy shower, but I still want to clean up our bedroom carpet.
