I've long thought that Cydia was a great sandbox for Apple that they don't even have to maintain. Wonder how many Cydia app designers are now employed by Apple? Note: I don't have a problem with it - they are technically controlling their brand, but also recruiting for new talent (and ideas) with very little effort

I'll be sticking with Dashlane, specially now that is has 2-factor authentication.

I suppose I should have mentioned that the field is computer science (software development or DBs, love 'em both). Any discussion as to why the field is male-dominated is WAY outside of the scope of this comment thread, but you should look into it if you are genuinely interested. It is something that I knew about

Any tips, specifically for, say...a 37 woman switching careers to a field dominated by mid-twenties males? I have a year left in school, but would really like to switch jobs asap. There are a few projects I'm going to put together to start a portfolio, but wonder what else I can do right now.

That's not exactly what I was talking about, but thank you. I use Dreamhost and Namecheap for all of my websites, and have been happy with the services, options, pricing and customer service.

I'm currently in school for CS, but I'm supplementing with Codecademy and TeamTreehouse. Treehouse does cost, but I got a student discount to drop it down to $9/month. Codecademy for Python, and Treehouse for HTML/CSS and Photoshop refresher, Ruby, PHP, Javascript/jQuery. What I really need help with, now, is

I think the assumption of presumption is rather patronizing. HR feels like they are bestowing upon the applicant the favor of an interview, forgetting that this should, ideally, be the start of a symbiotic relationship. Candidates are interviewing the company, at the very same meeting! We will be trading our time,

And...I had to immediately had to hunt down an appropriate reaction to this news:

Reasons I'll take S&S over a warehouse - distance to drive, time out of my busy life, and storage. I don't have the room to store bulk items, which is what the best warehouse deals are, so S&S will deliver just what I can store, when I need the item(s).

Check out Ally Bank's CDs. I've never done a CD ladder, but they are recommended as one of the best to go with - flexible, shorter-than-average CD lengths and such.

Mmm...Spinach, Onion, Mushroom, Swiss and Feta. I've taken to making mini-quiche and freezing, bulk-cooking style. Same with pot pies. Always have something healthy and delicious in the freezer!

I'm a heathen that does ketchup instead of tomato soup or V8, just like my grandmother taught me.

How can anything other than a grilled cheese be the correct answer?

It took me years to find a multi-vitamin that didn't make me violently ill. These are the only ones that don't make me sick to my stomach:

I bought the 1st gen Roku when it was released in 2008, and never looked back. My 3rd gen Roku was just delivered, and it the best yet. Between Roku streaming Netflix, Hulu and Amazon and a Mohu Leaf for local, there is no need for cable. Sure, I have to wait longer than others for stuff like Games of Thrones to be

The main selling point for an Aeron, for me, is the three size options. The knock-offs are typically just made of the average "B" sized chair. If you fall outside of the average body size frame, you'll need the "A" or "C" size.

Vinegar won't work to set the dye in denim, but salt does. Actually, any time you're concerned about bleeding colors, throw a cup of salt in the wash. I still dump some vinegar in every load, instead of fabric softener.

That sounds like something that could be a potential WalkScore offshoot. I know they now incorporate crime stats into their scores & map.

I'm in the south, with a 2-stage heat pump. Switching from a standard thermostat to a programmable Honeywell halved my bill. Summer/winter temps: 78/68 when home and awake, 76/66 when sleeping, 64/82 when at work. If it was just me, I'd probably push it more when not at home, but it's unsafe for the dog to go to
