except for those 3 pesky little goals.
except for those 3 pesky little goals.
That field already looks horrendous.
Definitely the former. I've lived directly in Downtown for 4 years now and I'm embarrassed to say I only just started biking around the city earlier this year. I feel like I've wasted so much time walking/driving around than exploring the city the right way. In the few months I've been biking with my girlfriend,…
As a proud resident of Downtown Long Beach, all I can say is THANK YOU and keep up the great work. We use the Broadway and 3rd St. bike lanes every weekend as well as the 2nd and 4th St. sharrows. It's such a pleasure to bike around our city with such ease and safety.
I'm still nerding out over these pictures. It never dawned on me how the current Long Beach Performing Arts center sits on the site of the old auditorium and Shoreline Dr. still (sort of) forms the arc of the rainbow. Also, note Rainbow Lagoon and Rainbow Harbor (not pictured) named in memory of the old Rainbow Pier
Also, another great article. I live in Downtown Long Beach in one of the old converted loft buildings. It's so sad to see what the Long Beach shoreline used to be. I really hope the movement to sink the breakwater can gain momentum, and we get some of that back.
I was wondering why the top picture didn't make any sense. It's a mirror image. Linden is on the left and Pine is on the right.
Umm, yeah, no. They don't.
As a native Angeleno, it kind of kills the "magic" of a lot of movies/tv shows for me. Instead of becoming engrossed in whatever I'm watching, it's always like..."oh, that's the alley they always use near 7th & Fig"...."That's Shoreline Drive in Long Beach"...."that's Bunker Hill..." etc. etc.
Couldn't agree more. It's weird...as a comedian/late night host, I can't stand him. As a car guy, he's one of the best.
Yikes....Thom Browne's one trick was played out 5 years ago.
oh there are PLENTY in LA that hate the guy, too.
no fucking way would EJ Johnson be caught wearing KHAKIS.
I'm imagining him looking at his lines and all you see is "UGGRRRAAAAAAAAAA"
He's crying because he knows there's going to be another Cubs fan doomed to live a life of frustration and sadness.
Wow. I was thinking this was the field that was on the site of the Farmers Market in LA...i had ZERO idea there was a park built that close to the Coliseum in South LA. Amazing. Another great article, Nathan.
White guy in a Watts Chamber of Commerce car. LOVE IT.
how about the catch he made on the very next play?
Do you have to tag a player on a double play. n o.
