Congrats on the sale Doug. And more importantly, congrats on getting rid of the wet dog smell. And further congrats, or condolances, on moving to the City of Brotherly Muggings Love!

Gee-golly, look at all those unsold Sevens. Lotus is just cranking them out and no one is buying them, and now they're left to rot in a field...

Do you think if we just stop talking about them, giving them attention or airtime, etc, they'll stop? You know, like you ignore a dog that isn't doing what you want them to do. It's worth a shot, right?

I think even on the R56 there was an optional "Comfort Access Package" or something that had keyless entry/start. Your wife's car might just not have that option. I would assume the new generation (I think the code is F56?) will have a similar optional package for keyless start.

Ditto. It's at my parent's house somewhere. I remember the cockpit separates from the body so you can get action figures in there... ahhh, nostalgia.

You're a granter of wishes! Thanks!

I'd really like this picture in mega-def hd wallpaper-zammo size. Pretty please?

Uggghhh God that orange peel.

You've definitely articulated my point of view quite nicely. This is almost certainly what I'll do my entire life; I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to buy new and watch 15-20% of the value dissipate as I cross the apron from "dealer lot" to "public street."

Aaah, the sounds of Scooter. What a weird 2000's Euro-techno DJ...

Agreed. I have a sudden urge to go install Red Alert II when I get home...

I agree that it's just styling, but I think the point is that they are, in fact, trying to fool anyone. They assume we only see "oooh shiny fancy funky shapey exhausty" and won't notice the dinky 1.5" pipe tucked behind the fascia, which they don't try very hard to hide. Granted, most consumers don't notice it, but

Well, I won't unsee that...

"It's like wiping your ass with silk, I love it."

That's the thing about price though. Don't buy a new $40K JCS. Buy a two year old one for $25K. I bought my 2008 MCS with 50,000 miles for $15K, it MSRP'ed for $25. The interior is fine for $25K, but for $15K it's great. A good layout, unique, functional, direct. A little rattly, but, like I said, good for $15K.

AdBlock for Chrome is your friend. I got it when one of the Kinja updates made ads look like article links. I haven't seen a single ad on any Gawker site since, or any other site, for that matter.

Well that put a smile on my face. It's sounds pretty damn good too.

Haha yeah, that's pretty much what just happened to me. When I bought the Mini I was cross-shopping an NC (non-Speed) and even for the 170 hp it pulled okay. I can imagine that some boost would have helped it out. I wonder if they've improved upon the engine tuning from the NB Speed at all.

Golly that is a pretty thing.

That's pretty bad.
