I think I found a picture of the author of this LH post.

It's commonly found for even less. I can regularly buy fresh, farm raised salmon for about $7 or $8/lb.

I do the same thing. Need six cardamom pods? Bulk bin time!

I rarely go to TJ's, but I do buy their frozen artichoke hearts, mostly for making artichoke risotto. My only other option is Birdseye's premium brand, which is something like double the price. Who knew TJ's so dominates the artichoke market?

Is Two-Buck-Chuck still $2 anywhere? In MA, it's $3, but I don't know if that's a nationwide price or not.

My friends, like Bob, don't write articles on the internet under the heading of "Bob Explains..." Bob's pretentious, but that that pretentious. And if he did, I'd expect that he could handle it if I pointed out a typo or a minor misstatement that he missed.

The hotter the better, since you want to melt any potentially-solid fats. Most machines operate near room temp +/- maybe 10C, from what I can tell using the google. The higher the temp, the more expensive the machine, since you're working with higher pressures.

5 atm isn't very much. An espresso machine makes 9 atm of pressure.

Ooo can I vent too? I too hate lazy collar pressing. I also prefer my French cuffs to be ironed flat, not folded—if I had wanted them pressed folded over, I would have just bought a button cuff shirt.

Interesting. I've never had that experience, but maybe my blues aren't dark enough to receive special treatment.

dupe.

I think the bitching is because articles like this take an inconsequential observation and turn it into a conspiracy theory about how Amazon is out to get you. If this article had instead been "haha Amzn I don't want your $500 oatmeal" it wouldn't garner this reaction.

You can "dry clean" at home using Dryel or Woolite, depending on the product. Pro cleaning does a better job of course.

Consumer Reports said supercritical ("liquid") CO2 cleaning outperforms perc-based cleaning. Others say its inferior. It's certainly more capital-intensive.

"When you drop a collared shirt..."

Awww give him a break. I think he has a cold.

No, Apple hired a company to form a shell company to buy it for them. As far as we know, Apple didn't have an ownership stake in IPAD Ltd.

What's the problem? Steve's not using it anymore.
