Public Enemies seemed overlong to me, too. Almost every scene seemed to run a little longer than it had to. I think if it had been pared down a little, I could get behind it as great, but it's bloated.

Ah, yes, I knew I didn't have it quite right. But the sentiment was the same.

@SouthofHeaven: The Stand is the only King book I've read. I hated it. People love Stephen King, though. He's just not for me. At least I gave him 1000 some-odd pages to make his case.
