King Ralph is bad. And it always reminds me of some other movie I saw around the same time, where some jamoke becomes Pope. But I can't remember the name of that one for the life of me.

No Country for Old Men is great. The Big Lebowski is great. They are both great, in different ways. I enjoy Lebowski a lot more, because it is a fun, hilarious romp. No Country is bleak, and not exactly a good time. But they both do what they set out to do so well.

It took me a couple of viewings to really connect with the brilliance of the movie. It probably was because I didn't pick up on all the references when I was younger. I didn't have much of a grasp on noir. Hell, I didn't know there was such a thing as vaginal art.

I love the TV edit of the movie. I have more fun quoting the "stranger in the Alps" line than the original.

You'll have to get over that eventually. The physical release is going to be extinct sooner or later, and everything will be digital.

Which was actually written by Cat "Yusuf Islam" Stevens.

If the band is putting it out, it's released.

"Bull Black Nova" is a burner though.

I like it!
So far. More than I liked Sky Blue Sky. I won't know exactly how much I like it until it's done, though.

Yeah, I liked At War With the Mystics. I thought it was just as good as Yoshimi.

They made a TV show about arm wrestling?

Wait, two Justin Shadys?
Which one is the real Shady? Will he please stand up?

Yep. Darko jokes are always appreciated.

Defending Your Life was the last of the really great Brooks films. His first, Real Life, is probably my favorite, but that through Defending are pretty golden.

I wanted Anything Else to be good. Who didn't want to see Jason Biggs as the Woody Allen stand-in? Nobody, that's who. But it seemed like his older work so much in spirit, that it was a let down when it sucked.

I loved Defending Your Life. It was one of my favorites as a kid. I wish we had a Past Lives Pavilion to go to.

Reginald VelJohnson is only allowed to play cops, no matter how much he looks like other famous characters.

Minibosses do a lot of cool covers. Like their Mega Man 2 medley.

Yeah, I don't like the look either. But boy was that funny. And the training music as they run by the river is so inspiring!

Fargo's great, and I bet it looks really good in HD. Those sparse, bleak snow-covered fields are what Blu-Ray was made for.
