As an aside, wouldn't that be an awesome use of a time machine? Going back in time to see films in the theater that you had missed, or weren't around for when they were released?

The commercials for this disgust me
I like Paul Rudd and Jason Segal, they're funny guys, and I think they could make a good buddy comedy together. I just don't think this is it. "Man-date?" I hate that term so much. Do women "Girl-date" or "Woman-date?" Why do we need a specific term for two guys hanging out?

That was the first thing I thought. I'm not much of a cat person, but I'm pretty sure they don't like be be hurled across the room. I know my dog wouldn't like to be tossed.

Roberts definitely doesn't have that sizzle. But I'm having trouble thinking of actresses who do. Our leading ladies today don't really seem to have that dangerous sexuality like the femme fatales of yesteryear.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford in The Sting.

Ebert's mark of approval hasn't meant much to me in recent years. This movie just looks bad to me. It's too bad, because Proyas showed such promise with Dark City, but then he went on to make I, Robot.

Oh, somebody said that… my memory is very short-term.

Clive Owen vs. Paul Giamatti? Naw, they fought in Shoot 'Em Up.

Dana Carvey,
You were totally the weak link on The Dana Carvey Show.

It sounds like it should be another Bridget Jones movie.

Tsk, it has Sienna Miller?
How did she ever become famous? I've never seen her in anything good. Do people only cast her in things because Jude Law cheated on her?

Holy Mustache!
Pretty impressive, Steve.

Back in college we were talking about hot chicks, and I mentioned Anna Paquin. And everybody, girls and guys, looked at me like I was crazy. This was about the time of X-Men 2, and she was super hot then, but nobody agreed with me. Bunch of morons.

Naw, it's "The Slow Descent into Alcoholism."

Yeah, The Cars are borderline, aren't they? They've got a foot in power pop and new wave. But you can't really count songs like "Moving in Stereo," or "Magic," or "Hello Again" as power pop. I guess they are ultimately new wave.

I'd squarely put OK Go in power-pop. I'm unsure if I'd count Elvis Costello. And as Breakfast Balls notes below, what about The Cars?

Yeah, Girlfriend is spectacular. Altered Beast is pretty good, too. Both the Matthew Sweet album and the Sega Genesis game.

I loved it when Dad would waste money on new technology.

But musicals are Oscar gold! GOLD!

Also let us know when the women became less voluptuous, and more waif-y.
