@crevans: Nothing about hair metal is awesome.

@Pessimipposaurus: Yeah, as if there wasn't enough mullet personality surrounding it already. I'd like it more if it wasn't a terrible 80's hair-metal band album cover.

@engineerd: I don't know of anyone that actually, honestly thought that money was a loan. Everyone with any sense recognized that we'd never get it back. The jury's still out on whether it was worthwhile, though.

@jodark: Yes, the Democrats and the Unions are both out to get you. And the mainstream media is in on it to cover everything up.

@Cognitive Friction: Not from GM and Chrysler, they can't. Those companies would have to start making money first.

@Thomas Paladino: Hey, maybe the brits have learned to build electronics that work by now.

@CJinSD: I still don't see how he's wrong. The Volt IS a car for idiots.

@Number_Six: Liebensraum? Love-space? Sounds kinky. Apparently not a German scholar, though.

@Volvo_4_life: Ferrari makes the car they intended to design, which in this case included a 600hp V12. If you want more power out of your Ferrari, you've got to go to the aftermarket. While the 599 is an undeniably great car out of the box, it's not necessarily all things to all people. And while you're certainly

@HernandezStache: Ha ha! A San Francisco is gay joke! I've never heard that before.

@grzydj: You are right about that. But the rock crawlers are usually lower-budget, and tend to build their rigs off of trucks that are at least 10, and usually more like 20 years old. No sense building a crawler on a new truck when the bodywork is just gonna get cut up and/or thrashed anyways.

@GV_Goat: The terrain that Hummer was intended for is the parking lot at the local car show.

@TimTim: Yeah, I give someone a month of jumping their Raptor at the dunes before they crack some stock F150 piece on the car that strands them out there.

@grzydj: Independent front suspension is better for desert racing. Anyone who'd torch off the suspension on this to put in a solid axle is a fool, and ought to just buy a regular F150 The huge premium you pay for the Raptor is for the front suspension.

@MarkB: Because narrowing the frame would have been too much work. But if you look at the serious prerunners, they've got a custom tube frame forward of the cab to get you the narrow frame width to allow for really long A-arms.

@BaldwinPeriphetes: If you really want to bomb through the Outback, have a shop build an actual prerunner truck, not Ford's imitation of one.

@Mobius: So buy a ready-made sand rail from any of the numerous builders out there.

@Wes Siler: They raced a heavily modified version of it at Baja. Not the same truck you can buy from Ford.
