I think it’s perfectly understandable to want consoles to be cheaper than $600. There are good phones that can be had for far less than what it costs to own a fancy flagship. No one bats an eye at a trendy new $1000 phone because there are options. Lots of options.
Look, I still don’t see how $599 was some kind of “insane” asking price. You can’t demand companies keep pushing hardware limits, giving you bleeding edge tech with unlimited teraflops and then also demand they do it for “As Seen On TV” prices.
The Cayenne essentially “saved” Porsche, though purists won’t acknowledge that. Being able to go from “third car” in the typical home to “first” car is a big win for sales.
