I’ve tried to install both cemu and dolphin before but I just never seemed to do it right. That and i could never find the roms. I forgot, is it legal if you own the software in physical form already?

One of the exact reasons I picked up a backwards compatible wii recently. Rogue squadron was one of my first 2 gamecube games as a child.

I honestly have a TON of pc games that I already owned on console and didn't want to buy again thanks to the constant free games they drop.
