While most assuredly that is a reason, coming out 13 years later as a well made product, it was always going to outsell its predecessors. 

I think nostalgia was a huge driving factor for people like us. I actually play games less and less, but I keep reading about them and purchasing the ones that I really want, usually the story centric games, but I was stoked for sabu, after unlocking all the characters I play maybe 2-3 matches twice a week. Of course…

If companies actually wanted your input, they'd ask for it.
