It's really infuriating. It should be one of the better scenes–you've got this inherently funny contrast between contract killers and some poor dude who just can't deal with this at 8 in the morning, and a good actor could do a lot with it. But Tarantino just makes it uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch, and it's

Murakami– I just finished Norwegian Wood and picked up Kafka on the Shore. Norwegian Wood took while for me to get into but I feel like the final third was a really effective piece of writing.

What do you mean, not the Sixers? Can you even imagine how awful it would be if we fell to fifth AND lost the Pelicans pick? I might have to stop watching the NBA.

That time when José Fernéndez hit a homer and pissed off McCann and Johnson was the single best moment of the 2013 season and nobody can tell me otherwise.

This is bullshit.

Something about the tone of this whole thing is a bit too smug and self-satisfied, but whatever. I'm ready to be friends with anyone who watched and loved Party Down.

The AV Club is just the worst when it comes to anything about hip-hop, exhibit #862.

Don't even get me started on the drums in The Song Remains the Same. We get it, guy, you can hit a drum. Why belabor the point?

God, Infinite was so disappointing. Gorgeous settings, sure, but it had some infuriatingly bland and receptive mechanics with some of the most shallow "both sides are wrong" moralizing in recent history. This Tevis Thompson essay summed up pretty much all my problems with it: http://tevisthompson.com/on…

Mirror's Edge is a great type of game for this.

It's absolutely insane. I almost feel bad for Hibbert at this point, then I remember he's got a max contract and laugh at the Pacers' front office.

Kinda strange to use a picture of DeSean Jackson considering the biggest Eagles story of the offseason was his release, but that's the JV Club for you, I suppose.

Wait– someone has complete creative control over their show, could've chosen to film anywhere, and chose Iowa?

So if this is the first act, when does the terrible character whose only purpose is to give Tarantino a hideously uncomfortable cameo in his own movie appear? Because I cannot wait.

I've said this before, but Mirror's Edge is the perfect candidate: an amazing original concept with a few core flaws (combat, shaky story) that held it back. I pray the sequel follows through, because I honestly believe the original was one of the best games of the last decade.

"I feel very badly about the absurd bullshit that's flying Woody's way…"
And that's not even close to the most infuriating line in the article. Go fuck yourself, grouchy old Hollywood dude.

Eh, Ed Helms at least had some moments on the Office when it was obvious that he had some comedic timing/instincts. Fallon is just always the least interesting part of whatever I'm watching him in.

I'm fascinated by Fallon's constant rise. I guess he's nonthreatening and easy to work with and whatever, but there are SO MANY other people who come to mind when I try to think of who makes me laugh.

No Mention of Fred Hammond? Fred Hammond BANGS, people. Best concert I've ever been to.

Eh, to be fair, the Breaking Bad timeline was way more condensed than most people realized, so Hank's 'Heisenberg obsession' probably lasted no more than a couple of months in BB-time.
