I know. They better get to work.

A long-term dream of mine is to have Stephen Colbert play Lehrer in a biopic. I think he'd kill it.

Anyone notice a Sling Blade/Doyle reference? When the restaurant owner is kicking all the Yelpers out of his restaurant, it mirrors when Doyle is kicking all his friends out of the house after the jam session.

Yawn. Let me know when Thin Lizzy gets nominated.

That's the joke, yes.

Or vice versa.

Yeah, I really kinda wish they'd chosen a different name.

Who gets the titular line?

Nope.

I can't tell if you're mocking me or not, but I love your post.

I hate him 'cause he essentially was able to crown himself king and patron saint of rock music, the Nashville indie scene, old-timey things, etc., without anyone challenging him. I used to be a fan; now I think he's a prick without equal.

Super Troupers is their best material, by a fairly wide margin. Beerfest is okay but probably a little too on-the-nose. The other movies and their TV work is bad…

I do know music theory, and I wouldn't qualify that as a key change.

So the outtro uses a flat-seven chord (actually, IV of IV, really). Big whoop. It's not a key change!

This A-to-Z gimmick sucks. Who asked for this? So many great things end up being left out, 'cause of the limitations of the format. No Bob's Burgers? No Aqua Teen? No Dr. Katz? No goddamn Looney Tunes? No Animaniacs?

And let's not forget the unbelievably great UCB show in the late 90s! It would be great to have her back on that channel.

Song honors the artist and songwriter; record honors the artist and producer. In the modern age, though, there's usually overlap there.

I was going to say! Those songs were more than a year apart on the charts, if my memory serves. Yes, it overtook Wonderwall in the most-weeks record, but they were not subsequent.
