Actually, the reliability of a submerged Cherokee is no different from one off of the assembly line.

Probably traded in to cover the markup on a Palisade

That’s the only VW answer I’ll likely agree with. At the same time as I bought my disaster of a MKV GTI, my brother bought a City Golf with the 2.slow.

My Mk4 Jetta is about to hit 200,000 miles. The clearcoat is peeling off, the power door locks don’t work anymore, and the suspension is creaking and groaning, but it won’t die.

as far as porky crossovers go...not bad. The only thing holding Buick back is the name.

How else are they supposed to recover the cost of some douchebag in a massive RV coming in, ruining the roads, parking at a Wal-Mart, leaving their garbage in the parking lot and leaving? They don’t go to local restaurants. They don’t stay in hotels. They don’t inject any real money into the local economy.

The Import Guys gave me a clean and clear Washington title. Insurance was also easy, too, as my provider simply added a bunch of zeroes to the end of the VIN to account for the fact that it’s not 17 digits.

No.  Believe it or not people do act on principles and have genuine concern for matters that are important to them.  And many of those have nothing at all to do with money.  You’re characterization of their position is, frankly, insulting.

They are better off just changing the name and calling it a day. They will only get bad press until its done so anything to delay the closure of the issue will be worse for them.

.

Because I love them.

Isn’t this like your 6th “Holy Grail”?

Hasn’t like half of the Jalopnik staff written articles about large trips they’ve taken during the pandemic?

Genuine question here: Mazda just feels a little nicer than Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, etc... right? I mean, when I look at its competitors, from the most well known Japanese and Korean nameplates, I feel like Mazda is just nicer.
