$3k, for a 2-point-slow mk3 gen VW?  NP.  This is the last of the relatively reliable VWs.

How the hell do CVTs work?

Not kidding. Two years ago, before the election, Trump was in Miami doing an event.  I saw that van with my own eyes driving down Brickell Ave.

I forgot we had one of these for almost 5 years at home. That’s how forgettable it was.

I had a good experience buying a used WRX from a Kia dealer. They wouldn’t allow the car to leave to go to an outside mechanic, but they allowed the outside mechanic to use a service department bay+lift to inspect it.

I disagree. I live in a city full of idiot drivers who will hold the horn down if you’re not already moving at the speed limit within .3 seconds of a light changing to green.

Not only do I want to install this, I also want to install rear facing ones.

So, it’s Honda’s Buick?

I live in Miami, not far from where this nutjob lived (he lives in jail now. And likely forever.).

Because I bought an early build F56 Mini Cooper S. In the first six months of ownership, it spent a total of 5 weeks getting warranty work done, but afterward it was bulletproof.

When the warranty ran out, it went away.

Get a standard Cooper S + NM Power Module.  All the fun, with more moneys left in your account.

This is the E30 my heart and soul wants.

Puerto Rico pays state taxes on income, at a higher rate than federal. Lottery winnings are not exempt as per Law 10 of 1989, and in the case of this, are taxed at $9,500 + 20% of the excess over $100k.

I’m used to driving on the left of the road... in a left hand drive car.

It’s a similar situation to my wife and I. However, due to my wife’s commute and tolls, our budget for transportation is a bit higher at 15%.

Buying used is what I just did.

Not bizarre, but annoying. Two stories, one which I’ve shared before.

2015+ WRX and STI have it too.

Land Bruiser?

About 10 years ago when I lived in Puerto Rico, as a long term strategy it was cheaper to park illegally on the street in Old San Juan than it was to pay for a monthly garage pass.

So... we can expect this to be the most unreliable Toyota yet?
