After I saw the mutation factory in the Genesis of the Daleks for the first time , that's when I became terrified of Daleks. Inside that almost indestructible tank with death rays was this slimy, and angry blob of absolute hate. It's disturbing and grotesque.

They should have stuck with Mary Tamm's Romana. Sexy, classy, smarter than the Doctor, and Gallifrey to the bone, son.

Drop the Victorian England nonsense and make Strax the full-time companion. They can both travel to weird worlds and universes in search of Gallifrey.

Ben Wheatley's directing was perfect. However, I was expecting to see the Doctor smash Half-Face Man's good side with a hammer after a few sips of that bourbon.

It's beautiful like a Boards of Canada video. The sounds of rattling, bending metal, hissing atmosphere, etc are magnificent.
