I honestly didn’t get into F1 until just a couple years ago. I gravitated toward Vettel because I liked his radio talk that made him sound like a grumpy old man that I could connect with. Sometimes it is about the personalities.

Wow, this is exactly what I have been looking to do. My wife wants a new (used) car in 2020 and I know she’s going to want some sort of small SUV to replace her Rogue <throwing up emoji>. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make some of these a little more “capable”. Another one I’m looking at is the Macan S.
My bad, here’s the 917:
They have a couple of these down at The Revs Institute in Naples, FL. Personally, I am not that big a fan of them, but to each their own.
I had almost this exact car; black over black, short-shift kit. Serious had almost too much power. Couldn’t keep a set of tires on it no matter how gingerly I tried to drive. At $425/tire it got old replacing those. I hit a guy on a bike that did $5,000 in damage (he was fine, but he ran a red light), it got hail…
I’ve described it to people as NFL Films for F1... Kinda. They are doing stories on races where you already know the outcome. There was a fair amount of footage of races I had watched, but hadn’t seen the angles/views they showed in this series.
That’s the type of sickness I can get on board with.
I had a fleeting opportunity to purchase one of these that was a near-mirror image of my Roadster. Just impossible to justify/explain to my wife why I “needed” two of what appear to be the same car (but we all know they’re not).
My now-wife and I did Denver to San Francisco trip. We did it because we (I) had romanticized the idea of taking a train through the west. So many of your negatives listed here are true.
Why do you get on the internet and reply to something that is two years old?
There’s an ‘05 SRT-4 that just sold for $26k on BaT. I’m sorry, I feel like I’d laugh you off this planet if you told me you bought a Neon for $26,000 today. Call me a snob, I guess.
Take a drink every time he says “quirk”.
I’m going to maintain my tradition on these Jalopnik/Bond posts: Get Bond back in a Lotus. I love Astons and certainly the DB5, but I would love to see him back in a Lotus for a film or two. Of course Eon would basically have to do this gratis for Lotus as they could never swing the tie-in cash Aston Martin can shell…
From how I read this, it started out with just the CBR1000RR. Then later he had the idea to add the electric.
While it is decently executed, seems quite clean, and appears the seller does actually care for the car; I just can’t with this stance stuff.
Unless its a 2020 Volvo.
